FinDatEx

FinDatEx consults on a new version of the European MiFID Template (EMT V4.3).

This version integrates an Optional Section to the MiFID Template concerning Value For Money (VFM) for Structured Products / Securities in France. Specifically focusing on Structured Products distributed on the French market, the draft introduces three new optional fields:

• 11000: Whether a VFM test has been performed;
• 11010: If so, what is the applied VFM methodology;
• 11020: Where additional information on the applied VFM methodology may be obtained (e.g. hyperlink to manufacturer’s website).

The new fields are intended to facilitate the exchange of information but do not represent an endorsement of any specific VFM methodology. Firms retain complete flexibility: they may choose to perform a test or not, and if they do, they remain free to apply the methodology of their choice.

The consultation is open until 24 October 2025.
