FinDatEx updates its European ESG Template (EET) and publishes the EET V1.1. The updated template can be found under Current templates.
V1.1 is not a structural update but reviews all data fields in view of the applicability of the SFDR RTS as of 1 January 2023. The wording of data fields has been reviewed and typos and other mistakes have been corrected. For a more detailed explanation of the changes, an "explainer" ppt has been annexed to the template. Recently published amending regulation, such as on the inclusion of nuclear and gas into the SFDR RTS or the updated ESMA guidelines on the MiFID suitability assessment will be subject to the next update cycle taking place in H1 2023.
The EET is meant to facilitate the exchange of information between product manufacturer and distributor/insurer as required by relevant EU regulation and certain market practices. FinDatEx recommends using the EET V1.1 for information exchange as of 1 December 2022. The use of the V1.0 should end by 30 April 2023 at the latest.
